Open Graph image and favicon checklist for SEO | Img2Web
Prepare social images, favicons and basic assets to improve how a site appears in search and shares.
Why these assets matter
An Open Graph image appears when a page is shared on social platforms, messaging apps and some previews. A favicon helps users recognize the brand in tabs, history and bookmarks.
These elements do not replace useful content, but they improve presentation, trust and click quality when the page is already visible.
Open Graph checklist
Create a clear image with strong contrast and short text. The 1200x630 format works well for page, article and tool shares.
Use large text that remains readable on mobile.
Keep safe margins around logos and headings.
Avoid placing important information at the edges.
Compress the final image before publishing.
Favicon checklist
A favicon must stay simple because it appears very small. Use a recognizable mark, symbol or initial and generate several sizes for browsers and devices.
Include favicon.ico for broad compatibility.
Include 16, 32, 48 and 180 px PNG files when possible.
Test on light and dark backgrounds.
